LOS ANGELES - Following semifinal victories Saturday, top-seeded Tobias Clemens and third-seeded Chris Lam of UCLA will face off in the singles final at the Southern California Intercollegiates held at the Los Angeles Tennis Club.
Clemens, the defending singles champion, advanced with a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Kentucky's Nathaniel Emge. On the bottom half of the draw, Lam needed three sets to defeat UCSB's Alex Anselme, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1.
The Bruins will also have two teams in the doubles final. After squaring off in singles play, Clemens and Lam will team together to take on UCLA's Chris Surapol / Aaron Yovan. Clemens and Lam upset No. 2-seeded Parker Collins/Daniel Langre of USC, 8-4 in the semifinals. Surapol/Yovan advanced with an 8-4 victory over Kentucky's Evan Austin Tigran Martiroysan.
