At the World Junior meet on Wednesday, Richards won heat four (53.14) and also advanced to Thursday's semi-final. The World Junior women's 400m final is set for Thursday (July 18).

Henderson will also run on the USA 4 X 400m relay at the World Junior meet (semi-final, Saturday, July 20; final, Sunday, July 21).

UCLA's third competitor at the World Juniors is freshman Briona Reynolds, from Grand Forks, ND (Red River HS). She will compete in the women's shot put (qualifying, Friday, July 19; final, Saturday, July 20). At the USA Juniors, Reynolds was second in the shot put (54-2, tied personal-best) and third in the discus (164-11).
