Nov. 7, 2004

LOS ANGELES - For the fourth year in a row a UCLA men's tennis player has captured the singles title at the Southern California Intercollegiate Men's Tennis Championships held at the Los Angeles Tennis Club.

Bruin senior Luben Pampoulov, seeded No. 1, defeated Alabama's Luigi D'Agord, 7-5, 6-2 in Sunday's title match. He becomes the fourth UCLA player in as many years to win the title, following Tobias Clemens (2001 & 2003) and Chris Lam (2002).

In doubles action, top-seeded Alberto Francis and Kris Kwinta knocked off UC Irvine's Ryusuke Kashiwabara and Brian Morton, 8-6. Kashiwabara and Morton were the tournament's No. 4 seeded team.
