Maxwell Griffin Continues To Stockpile National Honors

The honors keep coming in for UCLA sophomore forward Maxwell Griffin (Palmdale, Calif.). On Wednesday, Griffin was named the Soccer America National Player of the Week and to the magazine's Team of the Week for the second straight week. Earlier in the week, Griffin was named the College Soccer News National Player of the Week and the Pac-10 Conference Player of the Week and earned placement on the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.

Griffin had two goals and an assist in a pair of UCLA victories over unbeaten Top 10 teams. Griffin scored the game's first goal and assisted on the game-winner in the win over No. 7 Santa Clara, and he recorded the game-winner against No. 8 San Francisco.
