Mayorkas Makes Cut at U.S. Women's Amateur

Junior Charlotte Mayorkas advanced to match play Wednesday at the 103rd U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, hosted by the USGA at the Philadelphia Country Club. Senior Bridget Dwyer, following a second round 79, missed the cut.

Mayorkas, who earned All-America honors for the Bruins in 2003, posted rounds of 73-75--148, six-over par. She is participating in her first U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

Korea's Aree Song won medallist honors with a four-under par total of 138. Thirteen year-old Michelle Wie placed second after a second round 67. She boasted a two-under par total of 140.
