Bruins Face Southern in NCAA First Round

Los Angeles - The UCLA women's tennis team has been selected to host NCAA Regional competition, May 10-12 at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

On May 10, the No. 7-seeded Bruins (16-4) will host Southern University in the first round. Also meeting in the first round that day will be Washington (13-10) and West Coast Conference champion Loyola Marymount (14-10). The winner of Friday's first round matches will meet in the second round on Saturday for a chance to move on to the NCAA Championships, May 16-25 in Stanford, Calif. Stanford University is the host school.

Individually, Megan Bradley and Sara Walker qualified to play in the NCAA Singles Championships. Petya Marinova will team with Walker, and Bradley will team with Lauren Fisher in the doubles tournament.
