Walker Earns USTA Sportsmanship Award

MADISON, Wis. - UCLA senior Sara Walker received the United States Tennis Association Sportsmanship Award Saturday at the USTA/ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin.

Walker, a native of El Paso, Texas, was chosen for this annual award by the 16 participating coaches for displaying outstanding sportsmanship and exemplifying the spirit of college tennis during the course of the tournament and throughout her career.

Walker, a three-time ITA All-American, also helped UCLA to a quarterfinal appearance this week. The ninth-ranked Bruins lost to Florida 4-3 last night.
