The UCLA gymnastics team moved up to fourth in the national rankings, which this week are based on total season average. UCLA's average of 196.05 ranks slightly below top-ranked Georgia (196.4281), No. 2 Michigan (196.1821) and No. 3 Alabama (196.1375). With a 196.445, the Bruins have the nation's top regional qualifying score (RQS), which takes the team's top six scores, three of which must be away, throws out the high and averages the remaining five.
The Bruins remain ranked No. 1 on the floor exercise with a season average of 49.3156. They also retain their No. 2 ranking on vault with an average of 49.2094 and their No. 5 ranking on bars with a 49.0187. The Bruins dropped one spot to 11th on beam with an average of 48.5062.
UCLA owns the highest individual meet marks in the nation this season for team total (197.8, set Feb. 6), floor exercise (49.625, set Feb. 6), uneven bars (49.7, set Feb. 6) and vault (49.425, set Feb. 20).
Individually, senior Heidi Moneymaker is the nation's No. 1 gymnast on the floor exercise, owning an average of 9.9107 and an RQS of 9.915. Moneymaker is also ranked eighth on vault (9.8719) and 12th in the all-around (39.2107).
Junior Mohini Bhardwaj is UCLA's highest-ranking all-arounder at No. 9 (39.2714 average). Her RQS of 39.34 is the highest in the nation, while Moneymaker's RQS of 39.295 is second-highest. Bhardwaj also ranks sixth on floor (9.8893 average) and 10th on vault (9.8607).
