On May 29, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation announced the 2002 Academic All-Conference selections. Robin Beauregard, Maureen Flanagan, Kelly Heuchan, Jenny Lamb and Leah Wilson each received All-Academic accolades.
Beauregard (Huntington Beach, CA/Marina HS) scored 28 goals this season in addition to 21 assists and 28 steals. She received her third All-America honor this season and was named to both the NCAA and MPSF All-Tournament teams for the second consecutive year. Beauregard was also a 2002 All-MPSF selection. She has a 3.372 gpa.
Flanagan (Honolulu, HI/Punahou HS) scored 17 goals and tied for second on the team in steals with 28. She had 16 assists on the season. She has a 3.281 gpa.
Heuchan (Perth, AUS/U. of Western Australia) co-led the team in scoring at 37 goals and had 20 assists and 31 steals. She received her third All-America honor this season and was named to both the NCAA and MPSF All-Tournament teams and was also named All-MPSF. Heuchan has a 3.114 gpa.
Lamb (Huntington Beach, CA/Marina HS) scored six goals and had14 steals and four assists this season. She has a 3.186 gpa.
Wilson (Honolulu, HI/Iolani HS) scored five goals and had five assists and nine steals coming off the Bruin bench. She has a 3.367 gpa.
To be eligible to receive MPSF All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically, have completed one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being given and competed in fifty percent or more games this season.
