Harper to Compete at NACAC Under-23 Track & Field Championships

Recent graduate and seven-time All-American Dawn Harper has been chosen to compete for Team U.S.A. at the 2006 NACAC Under-23 Track & Field Championships in the 100m hurdles. The meet, which is held in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, runs from Friday, July 7 through Sunday, July 9.

Harper will compete in the 100m hurdles and could be a member of a relay team during the meet. Two weeks ago, Harper finished seventh in the hurdles at the USATF Senior National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.

At the NCAA Outdoor meet, Harper finished fourth overall, capping off her UCLA career with her seventh All-American honor. In indoor track, Harper finished third in the 60m hurdles.

Harper will compete in the first round of the hurdles on Friday morning, followed by the final that evening.
