Four Bruins Earn Pre-Season All-America Honors

Four members of the 2002 UCLA football team have earned All-America acclaim from pre-season publications.

Senior cornerback Ricky Manning, Jr., a candidate for the Thorpe Award, has been selected to the Football News All-America first team. He has also been named to the second teams of Street & Smith's and Lindy's and Athlon's third team.

Senior punter Nate Fikse, a Ray Guy Award candidate, has been named first-team All-America by Street & Smith's. He is also on Athlon's third All-America unit.

Senior offensive right tackle Mike Saffer has been named second-team All-America by Football News, Street & Smith's and The Sporting News and defensive tackle Rodney Leisle is a Street & Smith's second-team All-America.
