Eight Bruins were named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team for the 2003 season. UCLA placed more student-athletes on the team than any other school in the conference.
Junior two-meter Ted Peck was named to the team for the second year in a row, while Joseph Axelrad, John Blanchette, Thomas Foley, Brad Greiner, Michael March, David Pietsch and Chris Pulido each picked up their first honor.
In order to be eligible for the award, the student-athletes must meet the following criteria:
1. 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.
2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received.
4. Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.
