PALM SPRINGS, CA - UCLA's final game of the Palm Springs Classic, against No. 6 Georgia, has been cancelled due to weather conditions. The game will not be made up.
Overnight ran in the Palm Springs area forced a minimum of a one-hour delay to the tournament schedule, and the Bulldogs could not wait the extra hour due to airline flights back to Athens, GA.
The Bruins will return to action next Saturday at Easton Stadium for the Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament. UCLA will face UC Santa Barbara in a doubleheader at 1 pm on Saturday, Feb. 28, and will play Long Beach State in a single game at 1 pm on Sunday.
