Two Bruins Earn NSCAA All-America Honors

Mission, KS - UCLA senior midfielder Sasha Victorine was named an NSCAA/adidas first-team All-American, while junior defender Carlos Bocanegra earned second-team honors.

Victorine, who was named the NSCAA/M.A.C. National Player of the Year Wednesday, is a repeat selection to the All-America team. He was a third-team selection a year ago. Victorine was previously awarded the NSCAA/adidas National High School Player of the Year. He becomes the first player to garner both accolades, the high school award in 1995 and the college Player of the Year honor in 1999.

Bocanegra is a first-time selection to the NSCAA team. He was awarded All-America status by Soccer America a year ago.
