UCLA Ranked No. 12 in USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Men's BB Preseason Poll

Steve Lavin's UCLA Bruins are ranked No. 12 in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Men's Basketball Preseason Poll that was released Thursday. Along with the Bruins, also rated in the nation's preseason Top 25 from the Pacific-10 Conference include - No. 1 Arizona and No. 9 Oregon, with California, USC and Stanford also receiving votes. There are two other Bruin opponents on the 2002-03 schedule also ranked in the preseason Top 25 - No. 2 Kansas (UCLA faces KU at Lawrence, KS on Dec. 21) and No. 6 Duke (UCLA plays the Blue Devils on Nov. 30 at the Wooden Tradition in Indianapolis).
