Bruins Open Indoor Season at Husky Invite on Saturday

The UCLA women and men's track and field teams open up the 2005 indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 29 when they head to Seattle, WA for the Husky Invitational. The UCLA women, ranked No. 7 in the current Trackwire rankings, and the Bruin men, ranked No. 17, will look to pick up NCAA qualifying marks this weekend.

Currently, four Bruins rank in Trackwire's "Dandy Dozen": Senior Yoo Kim is No. 2 in the pole vault, junior Craig Everhart is No. 8 in the 400m, senior Ben Aragon ranks 12th in the mile, and junior Jeremy Silverman is 10th in the shot put. The 4x400m relay team ranks fifth, while the DMR ranks 11th.

Looking Ahead

The Bruins will hit the road again, this time to Idaho for the Boise Indoor February 5. They will then head to Fayetteville, AR (the site of the 2005 NCAA Indoor Championships) for the Tyson Invitational February 12. The Bruins will return to Seattle, WA February 25-26 for the MPSF Indoor Championships, and then head back to Arkansas for the NCAA Indoor March 10-12.
