UCLA Falls To USC In Season Finale

In the regular season finale, the 10th ranked Trojans upset No. 6 UCLA, 164-136 on Feb. 10. With the loss, the Bruins record in dual meet action fell to 6-3.

The Bruins was led by Sara Platzer, who won both the 50 (23.40) and the 100 free (50.43). Beth Goodwin closed out the regular season on a strong note after posting a win in the 100 Fly (54.37). Senior Brighid Dwyer who was also making her final appearance in dual meet action, finished second in the 100 Back (56.90). UCLA also won both the 400 medley and free relays.

In diving, the Bruins were led by Regan Gosnell who finished third in both the three-meter (289.20) and the one-meter event (247.50).

Despite the setback, 17 season best times were established in the meet. Chelsea Murray posted season bests in three events, the 100 fly (58.52), 200 Fly (101.32) and 200 Back (2:06.45). Two other Bruins recorded season bests in two events, Sarah Clark in the 100 Fly (1:01.32) and 200 Fly (2:11.33) and Geraldine Schick in the 200 Free (1:55.20) and 500 Free (5:05.89).
