LOS ANGELES, Calif. - UCLA senior attacker Brett Ormsby has been named the MPSF/Mikasa Co-Player of the Week for his contributions to the Bruins' victories over No. 3 USC and No. 5 UC Irvine during the week of Nov. 14, the conference announced Tuesday. Ormsby, a three-time All-American, notched a combined seven goals over last weekend, including four in the Bruins' 6-4 win over the Trojans and another three against the Anteaters on Sunday.
The announcement marks the eighth time that the El Cajon, California, native has been bestowed the honor and the third time this season. He received the award twice in 2003, once in 2002 and twice also as a freshman in 2001.
Ormsby shares the award this week with Long Beach State junior two-meter Brett McCleave, who netted four goals in the 49ers victory over UC Irvine on Saturday.
