UCLA remained at the No. 5 position in the latest national collegiate gymnastics rankings, released Feb. 1, with a season average of 195.525. Alabama regained the No. 1 position (196.290), followed by Michigan (196.0875), Georgia (195.975) and Utah (195.6833).
The Bruins are highly ranked on all four events, ranking second on vault (49.0312 average), third on floor (49.2062), fifth on bars (48.925) and 11th on beam (48.3625).
Four Bruins are ranked on the vault. Bhardwaj ranks 11th with a 9.8375 average. Heidi Moneymaker is 14th (9.825), Onnie Willis 15th (9.8187) and Degteva 21st (9.8062). Floor exercise has three Bruins ranked - Bhardwaj at fifth (9.8875), Moneymaker at sixth (9.8833) and Degteva at 16th (9.8562). Degteva is UCLA's only ranked gymnast on bars, checking in at seventh with a 9.8917 average, and Parker is UCLA's only ranked gymnast on beam, 24th with a 9.8 average. Parker is also Region 1's top-ranked gymnast on beam.
UCLA's next opponent, Stanford, moved up one spot to ninth with a 194.2 average. Cardinal senior Larissa Fontaine ranks No. 3 in the all-around (39.525), fourth on bars (9.9) and 10th on vault (9.85).
