Sasha Victorine Named To Soccer America Team Of The Week

Sept. 21, 1999

Oakland, Calif. - UCLA senior midfielder Sasha Victorine (Corona, CA) continued to reap the honors from a stellar weekend, being selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week for the week of Sept. 13-19.

Victorine led the Bruins to a 3-1 victory at San Francisco by recording two goals and an assist. Victorine jump-started UCLA's effort with his first goal at 1:26 of the opening half. He assisted on the game-winner later in the half and scored an insurance goal early in the second half.

Victorine, a finalist for the Hermann Trophy, was earlier today named the Player of the Week and yesterday was selected the MPSF Player of the Week.

This week's Soccer America honors are the second in his career. He was last named to the Team of the Week in October of 1996.
