McLachlin Finishes Second at Cal State Open

Alumnus Parker McLachlin captured second place and four other players with UCLA ties competed in the 84th California State Open Saturday at Murrieta Country Club in Murrieta. McLachlin tied for first place after 72 holes with former Pepperdine star Jason Gore. The two players finished regulation play at 276 (-12) before engaging in a playoff. Gore birdied the second playoff hole to capture first place. McLachlin's final round of three-under par 69 included an eagle on the par 4 15th hole. Former two-time All-American John Merrick tied for 10th place at 284 (-4) and Head Coach O.D. Vincent tied for 19th at 285 (-3). Former All-American Travis Johnson tied for 41st at 292 (+4) and former letterman Eddy Lee tied for 61st at 296 (+8). To view complete results, click here.
