UCLA Wraps Up Five Game Road Swing at Long Beach State:
The Bruins (23-17, 6-6) will return to Southern California on Tuesday when they travel to Long Beach State (23-9) before hosting USC this weekend in a Pac-10 series.
This season, the teams have met twice with the 49ers claiming a 3-0 win on March 12 at PETCO Park and UCLA taking an 11-1 victory on April 13 at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
Bruins Claim Pac-10 Series Win at California:
UCLA defeated California on Friday and Saturday to take a 2-1 series win at Berkeley.
Casey Janssen improved to 7-2 on the season in UCLA's 7-2 win on Friday afternoon. A three-run home run from Brandon Averill and a two-run shot from Chris Denove spearheaded the Bruin offense in the victory.
On Saturday, UCLA came back to score six runs in the sixth inning to take a 8-5 lead en route to a 10-7 victory. Denove homered for the second straight day with a two-run roundtripper in the seventh frame to seal the Bruin win.
UCLA dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker on Sunday as the Golden Bears scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to salvage the series. Despite suffering the loss, Wes Whisler had a solid outing, scattering six hits and three runs over six innings of work.

About Long Beach State...
The 49ers enter the week with a 29-9 mark on the season and are ranked as high as fourth in the national polls. Last weekend, Long Beach State swept Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.
Head Coach Mike Weathers is in his 3rd year at the helm of the program. He has posted a 109-50 mark in his years in Long Beach. Two weeks ago, UCLA handed Long Beach State an 11-1 loss at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Bruins hit three homers in the game.
