The UCLA women's tennis team has two matches scheduled this week. First off, this Thursday, UCLA will host No. 16 USC at the Los Angeles Tennis Center beginning at 1:30 p.m. The Bruins and Women of Troy have faced off once this year already with UCLA taking a 5-2 decision back on Feb. 1 at USC. Thursday's match will be the Pac-10 opener for both teams. On Saturday, UCLA will host Oregon at the LATC beginning at Noon. The Bruins are 5-0 all time against the Ducks.

After checking in at No. 16 in the preseason ITA Rankings and then moving up to No. 11 two weeks ago, UCLA moved up four spots to No. 7 in the latest rankings released on Feb. 27. New team rankings will be released on Wed., March 6.

UCLA is the only school in the country with two players currently listed in the top-10 of the singles rankings. When the latest individual rankings were released back on Feb. 22, Sara Walker was No. 4 in the nation and Megan Bradley checked in at No. 5. Walker is UCLA's only 20-match winner thus far, posting an impressive 23-4 overall record. She has seen most of her action in the No. 2 position. Bradley, who has played No. 1 singles for UCLA in all but one dual match this season, owns an impressive 19-3 overall record, including a 7-1 mark at the top position. In doubles, UCLA and Stanford are the only schools to have two teams ranked in the top-10. UCLA's top doubles team of Petya Marinova and Walker are ranked No. 4 in the country, while Bradley and Lauren Fisher are close behind at No. 9.
