On Sunday, April 10, freshman Brittany Renfrow competed in the Women's Three Meter event and finished 11th at the US Diving Open. The meet which was held at the Mabee Memorial Aquatics Complex in Midland, TX, was used to qualify athletes for the World University Games and other international competitions. Renfrow had advanced to the final with her 8th place finish through the preliminary and semi-final rounds (415.98 pts.). This was Brittany's first senior final in her short time at UCLA.

"I couldn't be happier with the patience and determination displayed by Brittany throughout this year, said Head Dive Caoch Tom Stebbins. "It has not always been the smoothest path, but Brittany's faith in herself and our program have allowed her to begin her ascent back to an elite level. I am very excited about Britt's future and what it has in store for her."

Brittany's total of 619.08 points was good enough for 11th place overall. United States Elite Diving Academy senior Chelsea Davis won the event with a total of 775.92 points.

On Saturday, April 9, senior Janine Strack competed in the platform event. Janine finished 23rd with a total of 182.25 points. Fourteen year-old Erin Savas of the City of Midland Aquatics took advantage of a very excited hometown crowd to become the US Open Champion later that evening finishing with a total of 769.32 points.
