Mike Saffer Named Second-Team All-American

UCLA offensive tackle Mike Saffer and four UCLA freshmen have received post-season recognition from various organizations.

Saffer, who has started 41 games as a Bruin, was named a second-team All-American by The Sporting News and by CNNSI.com.

Outside linebacker Spencer Havner, a redshirt freshman, and strong safety Jarrad Page, a true freshman, were named first-team Freshman All-Americans by The Sporting News. Tailback Tyler Ebell and center Mike McCloskey, both redshirt freshmen, were named second-team Freshman All-Americans.

In addition, all four were named to The Sporting News Pac-10 All-Freshman team and Havner was selected the Pac-10 Defensive Freshman of the Year.
