2003 Bruins Approaching Shutout Record . . .
With its next shutout, UCLA will tie the school single-season record for shutouts with 15. The Bruins have posted 14 shutouts in 23 matches this season. The school record was set by the 2000 squad, which advanced all the way to the NCAA Championship match. That year's team achieved the feat in 24 matches.

Looking Ahead . . .
UCLA is aiming for its second College Cup appearance in program history when the Bruins take the field against Penn State in the quarterfinals this Friday. The only Bruin squad to reach the College Cup was the 2000 team, which advanced all the way to the final that year, falling to North Carolina 2-1 in the title match. UCLA is in the same side of the bracket with the Tar Heels and could meet them again if both teams win matches this Friday.

UCLA Soccer Boasts Nation's Best Record . . .
The combined record of the UCLA men's and women's soccer teams is an impressive 35-2-4 (.902). No other school in the county has a combined record better than UCLA's. The Bruin men were recently selected at the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Men's Tournament.
