UCLA great Amy Acuff, who during her Bruin career won five NCAA high jump titles, on Friday will compete at the 2003 World Track & Field Championships in Paris.
On Friday she will compete in the qualifying round with the final set for this weekend.
Acuff, who competed at UCLA from 1994-97, several weeks ago high jumped a personal-best 6-7, the top U. S. mark this season and No. 5 in the World. The two-time Olympian won her fourth USA title in June, jumping 6-4.75. Acuff's performances this season have put her in a position to win an international championships medal for the first time since winning the gold medal at the 1997 World University Games.
The 2003 World T & F Championships end Sunday. For complete and weekend results of the meet, please refer to www.usatf.org.
