Three Women's Tennis Players Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

June 28, 2000

Los Angeles -- Highlighted by first-team selections Amanda Basica and Annica Cooper, three UCLA women's tennis players were named to Pac-10 All-Academic teams Wednesday. Elizabeth Schmidt was on the second-team.

This is the third time that Cooper, a senior from Chicago, has been named to the first team. She previously received the honor her sophomore and junior seasons.

Basica, a senior from Lomita, Calif., was a first-team selection last season, while Schmidt, a senior from Austin, Tex., earned honorable mention accolades last year.

All three completed their eligibility for UCLA this past season and have earned All-America honors at some point in their career.
