UCLA junior Bridget Dwyer won a pair of match play rounds before falling in the third round of the Western Amateur Championship at Stone Creek Golf Course in Urbana, IL.

After defeating Jaclyn Sanders 1-up in the first round on June 18, Dwyer won her second round match 6 & 5 against Erin Long Thursday. Friday she lost 5 & 4 to Ashley Prange. Prange later advanced to the semifinals with a 3 & 2 victory over Beth Hermes.

In the stroke play competition, Dwyer finished in a tie for seventh place with a 36-hole total of 144, even par. She fired a career best, two-under par 70 in the second round.
