Im won the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship with scores of 66-75-68--209 (-7), his first collegiate victory, in a playoff against South Carolina's Mark Anderson. Im's score of 66 (-6) in the first round was a collegiate best and tied for the best individual score on the team this season. His round was highlighted by an eagle three on the 13th hole. He made eight birdies in the final round after a double-bogey on his second hole. Among the ranked players he beat in the field were #1 Ryan Moore (UNLV, defending U.S. Amateur champion), #2 Spencer Levin (New Mexico, low amateur at the 2004 U.S. Open), #4 Pablo Martin (Oklahoma State, 2004 Fall Preview winner) and #25 Alejandro Canizares (ASU, 2003 NCAA champion, two-time All-American). Im is averaging 73.4 in 20 rounds this season with two Top 10 finishes, five rounds under par and four rounds under 70.
