Bruins Hold 11-Stroke Lead at Anteater Invitational

The UCLA men's golf team holds an 11-stroke lead entering the final round of the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational being held at the Santa Ana Country Club.

The Bruins have a 36-hole score of 579, three-over par, and lead second place Santa Clara and UC Irvine by 11 shots. UC Rverside and Cal Poly Pomona are tied for fourth place 595.

UCLA freshman Peter Campbell, who held the first round lead after posting a three-under par 69, is third at 143, one-under par. Tied for fourth place is freshman Joakim Renstrom at 72, followed by freshman Chris Heintz, who is tied for seventh at 146.Senior Roy Moon is tied for 11th at 148 and sophomore Breene Murphy is tied for 20th at 150.

Santa Clara's Justin Ahasic held the 36-hole lead at six-under par 138. He posted rounds of 70 and 68.

Final round action continues Tuesday.
