ITA Releases New Rankings

LOS ANGELES - New men's and women's tennis rankings were released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Tuesday. The UCLA men moved up from No. 10 to No. 8, while the Bruin women check in at No. 12.

Individual rankings were also released on Tuesday. The Bruin men have five players ranked in singles, led by No. 6 Tobias Clemens. He is followed by Kris Kwinta (No. 36), Chris Lam (No. 52), Philipp Gruendler (No. 86) and Alberto Francis (No. 95). In doubles, Francis and Kwinta check in at No. 19. Aaron Yovan and Chris Surapol are ranked No. 48.

The UCLA women have three players ranked in singles, including No. 28 Jackie Carleton, No. 40 Daniela Bercek and No. 77 Alex McGoodwin. In doubles, Carleton and Lauren Fisher check in at No. 8 nationally. Carleton is also ranked No.23 with Feriel Esseghir.

New team rankings will be released on Mar. 16. Individual rankings will not be released again until Mar. 23.
