Moon Captures Second Place at Pacific Coast Amateur

UCLA senior Roy Moon fired a final round 67 to capture second place at the 37th Pacific Coast Amateur, held at Capilano Golf and Country Club in Vancouver, BC.

Moon led a contingent of Bruin golfers who all finished among the top 30 individuals. Travis Johnson posted a final round, two-under par 68 to finish in a tie for 17th. John Merrick tied for 29th with a final round 73 and former Bruin Parker McLachlin tied for 22nd with a 71 in the fourth round.

Moon's three-under par final round gave him a total of 273, seven under par. James Lepp of Abbotsford, BC won the event with a 72-hole score of 263, 17-under par.
