Cyndi Gallagher's No. 7 UCLA Bruin swim and dive team will compete Friday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 3 at the Bulldog Invitational, hosted by Georgia. The meet features some of the top programs in the country, including No. 1-ranked Georgia.
Virginia, South Carolina and California are also slated to compete as the Bruins wrap up the 2005 portion of their schedule. Swim prelims will begin each day at 9:30 am (6:30 am Pacific), with finals set for 5:00 pm (2:00 pm Pacific) on Friday and Saturday and 3:00 pm (12:00 pm Pacific) on Sunday. Dive prelims will begin each day at 11:00 am (9:00 am Pacific) with finals beginning at 5:00 pm (2:00 pm Pacific). The one-meter competition will be held on Friday, three-meter on Saturday, and platform on Sunday.
Twenty-two swimmers and eight divers will make the trip to Athens, GA. Senior Amanda Blong, who is traveling, will not compete as she is redshirting this year. Sophomore Brittany Renfrow, the 2005 Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year, will also make the trip, but will not compete due to a back injury that she has been rehabbing.
