Aug. 25, 2000

LOS ANGELES - The highly-anticipated UCLA-Indiana men's soccer game will be broadcast live on the internet on internetsoccer.com on Saturday, Sept. 2. The game is part of the web site's College Showcase Series.

internetsoccer.com, a Charlotte-based internet company and an industry leader in live audio broadcasts, has already broadcast CONCACAF Olympic and World Cup qualifiers, men's and women's Gold Cup matches, and A-League and MLS action to internet listeners. internetsoccer.com has also begun a series of Radio Shows in conjunction with the U.S. men's World Cup Qualification matches.

The series kicks off with the University of Connecticut, ranked fourth in preseason polls, taking on eleventh-ranked Wake Forest University on Friday, Sept. 1. The next broadcast on Saturday, Sept. 2 will feature a rematch of last year's epic NCAA semifinal match between pre-season No. 1 Indiana and pre-season No. 3 UCLA. The two teams have won eight NCAA Championships between them.

All of the games will be called by members of the internetsoccer.com broadcast team, a collection of experienced commentators specializing in soccer. Listeners of the broadcast will be able to communicate with the broadcast team via email at broadcasts@internetsoccer.com.
