Bruins Win at the Head of the Port

Sacramento, Calif. - The UCLA women's rowing team opened up their fall schedule at the Head of the Port on Sunday, Oct. 12, in Sacramento. The Bruins, who only entered one boat in the regatta, won the Women's Open 2-.

Competing for the Bruins were seniors Irene Condella and Dawn Regan. They completed the 5.7km course in 29:37.00 to win the event. Santa Clara, the only other entry in the Women's Open 2-, finished in 30:52.00.

The Bruins return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Head of the Marina, in Marina del Rey.
