Tennyson Named To Soccer America's Team Of The Week

Sept. 13, 2000

One day after being named the SoccerTimes.com National Player of the Week and the Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week, UCLA senior forward McKinley Tennyson Jr. racked up another weekly honor, being selected to Soccer America's Team of the Week.

Tennyson, a Hermann Trophy nominee, recorded his first career hat trick in UCLA's 5-0 win over San Diego State Sept. 6 and leads the nation in goals per game with an average of two (four goals in two games).

The Team of the Week honor is Tennyson's second in his career and UCLA's second this season. Last week, freshman goalkeeper DJ Countess was named after earning Defensive MVP honors at the adidas/IU Classic.
