Los Angeles, CA - The UCLA women's basketball team defeated West Coast All-Stars, 93-45, in the Bruins' final exhibition game. Sophomore guard Noelle Quinn led all players with 22 points on 9-10 shooting from the field. She also had eight rebounds, eight assists and five steals in just 22 minutes of play.
UCLA started the game on fire, rolling off 17 unanswered points, mostly on the fast break, after tipoff. West Coast All-Stars did not get on the board until five and a half minutes in. The Bruins led at the half, 52-18, and led by as much as 52 points (91-39 with 2:10 to play in the game).
Along with Quinn's 22 points, four other Bruins scored in double figures - Amanda Livingston with 14 points on 7-8 shooting with seven rebounds and four assists; Lisa Willis with 13 points, six steals, five rebounds and five assists; Lindsey Pluimer with 10 points and 12 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double; and Shaina Zaidi with 10 points and four rebounds.
Elana Adams led West Coast All-Stars with 11 points. Former Bruin Natalie Jarrett scored seven points before fouling out.
The Bruins will open the regular season on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Miami Jam against TCU.
