April 30, 2003

Woodland, CA - UCLA senior center defender Robin Beauregard and center forward Natalie Golda were named to the All-MPSF Tournament Team in recognition of their contributions at last weekend's MPSF Tournament.

The Bruins finished second at the tournament, defeating Hawaii 12-3 and USC 7-6 before falling to Stanford 3-2 in the fifth sudden victory overtime of the championship game.

Golda scored seven goals at the tournament. She scored four goals against Hawaii and netted a hat trick against USC. Beauregard recorded 11 steals at the tournament and helped hold UCLA's three opponents to a combined total of 11 goals.

In today's Women's Water Polo Collegiate Poll the Bruins dropped to number two in the polls, with the Stanford Cardinal claiming the number one ranking. UCLA will travel to San Diego from May 10-11 to participate in the NCAA Tournament. The Bruins are seeded second and will face third seeded Loyola Marymount on Saturday, May 10 at 3:00 PM.

The semifinals and finals of the MPSF Tournament will be televised on a tape-delayed basis by Collegiate Sports Television Network (CSTV) on DirecTV. Check out CSTV's website at www.cstv.com for more information.
