Bruins Capture Second Place in Wildcat Invitational

The UCLA men's golf team placed second in the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by the University of Arizona at the Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson.

The Bruins posted a 54-hole score of 831, 22-under par, and finished two shots behind Arizona. Pepperdine placed third at 840, followed by USC at 845 and Wake Forest in fifth at 846.

Individually for the Bruins, junior Roy Moon tied for third place at 205, eight-under par. Moon finished two shots behind the winner, Chris Baryla of UTEP, who fired three rounds in the 60s and finished at 10-under par 203. Juniors Travis Johnson and Steve Conway tied for 15th place at 211, two-under par, and freshman Spencer Levin tied for 19th at 212, one-under par. Junior John Merrick tied for 26th at even par 213.
