Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA sophomore forward Kamani Hill has been named the Pac-10 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 25 - 31, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Hill, from Berkeley, Calif., scored both game-winning goals in UCLA's identical 1-0 victories over Oregon State and Washington. Against the Beavers, he scored on a shot from the top of the box at 75:56. His game-winner against the Huskies came at 60:34, after his shot hit the inside right post. Hill had four shots against Washington, including three on goal.
Hill leads the Bruins in all offensive categories this season, with five goals, seven assists, 17 points, three game-winning goals, 38 shots, and 20 shots on goal.
No. 7 UCLA (5-1-1, 10-3-2) will travel to the Bay Area this weekend, facing Stanford on Fri., Nov. 4 and No. 10 California on Sun., Nov. 6.
This is Hill's first Pac-10 Player of the Week honor and 24th weekly honor all-time for UCLA.
