Mission Bay - San Diego, Calif. - The UCLA women's rowing team completed the final day of the 31st Annual San Diego Crew Classic today. The Bruins finished third in the Women's Cal Cup, sixth in the Women's Collegiate Novice competition, and ninth overall in the Women's JV event.
The UCLA varsity eight competed in the Women's Cal Cup Grand Final, finishing third in 7:20.43 behind Loyola Marymount and Miami. The Bruins defeated Clemson, Navy, and Louisville in the race.
The UCLA second varsity eight competed in the Women's JV Petite Final, finishing third in the race and ninth overall. Texas and Notre Dame finished first and second in the Petite Final, and Stanford, Clemson, and Kansas State followed the Bruins, respectively. UCLA finished the race in 7:15.56.
The Bruin novice eight competed in the Women's Collegiate Novice Grand Final, finishing sixth in 7:28.99 behind Washington, California, Washington State, Oregon State and Clemson.
The Bruins return to action on Saturday, April 10, when they host Minnesota at Ballona Creek, Marina del Rey, Calif.
