THIS WEEK -- UCLA Women's Rowing will host Loyola Marymount and UC Irvine on Saturday March 12 at Marina Del Rey, as they compete to capture the Karen Hock-Hjelm Cup for the third consecutive year. With Loyola Marymount occupying the same water for practices, this race will also be for bragging rights over the Marina.
Last year's race with UC Irvine resulted with the Bruin's sweeping the Anteaters in all events. The Bruins faced LMU twice last year, sweeping all races in their dual meet to capture the Karen Hock-Hjelm Cup, and recording a tie with them at the 29th Annual Miller Cup in the Varsity Eight Grand Final to split the Cup.
The Bruins will be entering five boats in the competition: Varsity 8+. Second Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, Novice 8+ and the Open 8+. The projected line-up's for the boats are as follows:

8:30 a.m. - Women Open 8+
8:45 a.m. - Women Novice 8+
9:00 a.m. - Men Novice 8+
9:15 a.m. - Women Varsity 4+
9:30 a.m. - Women Second Varsity 8+
9:45 a.m. - Men Second Varsity 8+
10:00 a.m. - Women Varsity 8+
Up Next-- The Bruins will be host USC on the following Sunday, as they compete over school bragging rights and points for the Lexus Gauntlet Trophy challenge. The women of Troy won last year's race, and the Bruins have hopes of not letting that streak extend in the rivalry.
