UCLA Tops Waseda University In Exhibition Game, 4-0

Los Angeles - The UCLA baseball team used nine pitchers in route to a 4-0 shutout victory over visiting Waseda University from Tokyo, Japan in an exhibition game Thursday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

Junior outfielder Will Penniall led the Bruins going 2-for-4 from the plate with a triple and four RBI. Freshman second baseman Eddie Murray added a 2-for-3 hitting performance with a run scored.

UCLA got on the board in the first inning on a three-run triple by junior Will Penniall with two outs to put the Bruins up 3-0. Penniall added a RBI single in the fifth inning with two outs to give UCLA a 4-0 advantage that would last the rest of the game.

The Bruins will host the No. 14 Cal State Fullerton Titans on Friday, Feb. 24 (6 p.m.), before playing at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday (6 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).
