Both internet sites recognized UCLA's defensive efforts in a pair of 1-0 shutouts over Oregon State and Washington. The Bruins completed their regular season home schedule this past weekend by becoming the first school in Pac-10 history to finish the regular season without allowing a goal at home. This is also the first UCLA team to accomplish this feat. The Bruins had eight home shutouts in as many games and have 12 shutouts in 15 games this season.
Reed had five saves in the Bruins' victory over Oregon State on Friday and tied his career high with six saves against Washington. He has lowered his goals against average to a national-low 0.23 and has 10 solo shutouts.
Wynne, a candidate for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy, played excellent defense against both schools to help Reed maintain the shutouts.
The Bruins, who are ranked No. 6 in this week's College Soccer News poll, continue Pac-10 play this weekend in the Bay Area against Stanford and Cal.
