Women's Water Polo Heads to Stanford Invitational

The No. 2 Bruin women's water polo team starts the 2003 season at the Stanford Invitational Tournament this Saturday and Sunday in Palo Alto, CA. The Bruins begin the season ranked No. 2 in the nation and are the No. 2 seed in the tournament's eight team field.

UCLA returns the core of its team, including All-Americans Robin Beauregard and Jaime Hipp along with leading scorer Natalie Golda.

The Bruins open the season against sixth seed (No. 10 in the nation) Hawaii on Saturday at noon at the Belardi pool. The Bruins then play their second game of the day at 6:00 PM against third seed USC (No. 3 in the nation) at the Avery Pool.

On Sunday the Bruins finish bracket play against seventh seed UC Santa Cruz at 10:00 AM at the Baker Pool. The Bruins' fourth opponent will be determined by the results of bracket play.
