Former UCLA Women's Water Polo team standouts Kelly Heuchan and Jaime Hipp made history in Australia after helping their Australian Club Team the Fremantle Marlins win the inaugural Australian women's National Water Polo League grand finale.
An assistant coach on last year's NCAA Championship and fifth on the Bruins career goals scored list, Heuchan was named the Most Valuable Player of the Finals Series after leading her team with three goals in the grand finale. She was also named to the 2004 All-Star Team.
Also a member of the grand finale winners, Jaime Hipp was a four-year starter at goalkeeper at and her 4.05 goals against average is second best in UCLA women's water polo history.
