Bruins To Close Out Regular Season at Oregon State:
UCLA (31-26, 12-9) looks to continue its winning ways as it heads to Oregon State (30-20, 9-12) to wrap-up its Pac-10 schedule. The Bruins have been strong on the road in conference action this year, posting a 6-3 record and winning series at Arizona, California and Washington.

Entering the week, UCLA sits tied for third in the Pac-10 standings along with Arizona State. Stanford (14-7) leads the conference with Washington (15-9) in second place.

UCLA Takes Two From #14 Washington in Seattle:
Casey Janssen threw a six-hit complete game on Friday night and Ryan McCarthy hit two home runs on Sunday to bookend the weekend series with two wins over 14th-ranked Washington in Seattle. Janssen held the Huskies to one run in Friday night's contest to lead the Bruins to a 3-1 victory. He struck out eight batters and walked only one. Sophomore catcher Chris Denove hit his seventh home run of the year on Friday night to seal the win.

The Huskies scored four runs in the sixth inning on Saturday afternoon en route to a 7-2 win over the Bruins. Jarrad Page drove in both Bruin runs in the ninth inning.

McCarthy recorded his third multiple home run game of the season on Sunday with two in UCLA's 4-3 win. The junior shortstop hit his 12th of the year in the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie and lead UCLA to the win. Brandon Averill also homered in game, his eighth of the year.

Janssen Named Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week:
Senior right-handed pitcher Casey Janssen (Huntington Beach, CA/Fountain Valley HS) was named the Pacific-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, Comissioner Tom Hansen announced on Tuesday.

Janssen threw his first career complete game on Friday night as UCLA defeated 14th-ranked Washington, 3-1 in Seattle. The Bruins went on the win the series with a 4-3 win on Sunday. He held the Huskies to one run on six hits in the contest. He struck out eight batters on the night and walked only one. Janssen allowed the lone Washington run in the first inning and went on the throw eight scoreless innings to follow. He also struck out four batters over the last three frames.

On the season, Janssen leads UCLA with a 9-3 record. He has struck out 91 batters in 101.2 innings of action. He ranks among the top five in the Pac-10 in ERA, opposing batting average, and strikeouts.

The honor marks the second career award for Janssen, who was named Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week last year on May 12th. It is also the second consecutive honor for UCLA after Wes Whisler earned the same award last week.

Oregon State (30-20, 9-12) enters the week on the heels of a 2-1 series win at Washington State last weekend. The Beavers are currently tied for sixth in the Pacific-10 conference standings.
