LOS ANGELES - The Bruins pulled out a dramatic five-game thriller over Arizona State (12-10, 8-9 Pac-10) on Thursday night at Pauley Pavilion with game scores of 26-30, 30-22, 30-22, 23-30, 15-13. Three Bruins had double-figure kills in the win.

After dropping game one 30-26, the Bruins managed to take the next two frames 30-22 and 30-22 before falling 30-23 in the fourth game. UCLA (16-12, 9-8) won the match 15-13 in the deciding game despite trailing by a 13-10 margin in game five.

Three Bruins had double-digit kill totals, with Brittany Ringel at 17, Lauren Fendrick at 16, and Brynn Murphy at 10. Murphy also paced the Bruins offensively, hitting .259 over 27 attempts. At the net, Cira Wright chipped in with 11 block assists, while four Bruins had double-digits in the dig category.

UCLA fell in the first game while hitting .074 even as the Sun Devils only managed to hit at a .120 clip. Though the Bruins held the advantage as late as 26-25, ASU went on a 5-0 run to steal the opening set.

In the second game, UCLA managed to match an early ASU surge at 10-10 and open the margin from there, taking the game 30-22. ASU managed only a .058 hitting percentage as the Bruins evened the match. The third game proved to be almost identical, as the Sun Devils were held to a -.030 average while the Bruins controlled throughout.

Game four, however, was a letdown for UCLA. The Bruins' only lead was at 2-1 as the home team hit .000 for the game to ASU's .205.

The game of catch-up continued into the fifth and deciding frame, as the Bruins trailed as late as 13-10. After a UCLA timeout, the Bruins came out resurgent. Three different Bruins scored four kills in the late charge as UCLA won in dramatic fashion, 3-2.

Arizona State's Natalie Harris scored career highs in kills, digs, total blocks, and points, despite the loss. UCLA finishes the home season Friday night at 7 p.m. against the Arizona Wildcats before heading out to a Thanksgiving-weekend tournament in Albuquerque to close out the regular schedule. Friday's match will be senior night for UCLA's three seniors: Angela Eckmier, Lauren Fendrick and Lauren Hogan. The match will also be broadcast live on
