OKLAHOMA CITY - Severe weather in the Oklahoma City area on Saturday night forced the postponement of the Oklahoma-Stanford contest overnight. As a result, UCLA's Sunday NCAA Semifinal game at the Women's College World Series is now scheduled to begin at 11 am Pacific Time, an hour later than the game's original start time. The Bruins will face the winner of the suspended OU-Stanford game. Either Oklahoma or Stanford would have to defeat UCLA twice in order to advance to Monday's NCAA Championship game.

The Stanford-Oklahoma contest was suspended between the fifth and sixth innings with Oklahoma, the designated visiting team, leading 2-1. That game will resume at 9 am Central Time on Sunday morning and will be followed by the LSU-Florida State game that was scheduled to be played on Saturday night. UCLA's semifinal against either Stanford or Oklahoma will follow the Tigers and Seminoles at 1 pm Central Time. The second semifinal match-up, between California and either LSU or FSU, is now scheduled for 3:30 pm CT.

UCLA advanced to the winners bracket side of the NCAA Semifinals with an opening-game win over Stanford followed by a second-round victory over LSU, 2-0, on Friday. The Bruins enjoyed a day off on Saturday.

All games of the WCWS are still scheduled for television, with ESPN2 covering the remainder of the Stanford-Oklahoma game as well as Sunday morning's LSU-Florida State game. UCLA's game will air on ESPN, as will California's game against either LSU or Florida State.
